The B S Order of Priority is as follows

Crest, Spangle, Dominant Pied, Recessive Pied, Yellow Face, Rare Varieties and Any Other Colour

A Crested Spangle is exhibited in the Crested class

A Spangle Dominant Pied is exhibited in the Spangle class A Yellow Face Spangle is exhibited in the Spangle class

Any exhibitor experiencing difficulty in making their entry is advised to contact either the Show Secretary or an experienced exhibitor.

Guidelines regarding bio-security, as suggested by The Budgerigar Society, will be in operation at this show.  The Bio-Security Officer is Pete Smith.

Anyone wishing to steward at this show please give your name to the Secretaries, when entering your birds, or to Pete Smith.

SHOW RULES

 

1.             This Show is held under the Show rules of the Budgerigar Society with the following additions:

 2.             SALES CLASSES.  Exhibitors must state a price of the exhibit (excluding cage) on their entry form.  All sales must be effected before 4.00pm           Sunday. Birds in Sales Classes may be      removed immediately they are sold, subject to the foregoing.       

2a.          All prospective purchasers must sign a form which will be available at the Sales Section stating that they are members of The Budgerigar Society or the Area Society of which they are resident.

 3.             The organisers reserve the right to appoint extra judges if necessary.

 4.             Birds are entered entirely at the owners’ risk.  Any birds entered in wrong

                classes will not be re-classed.

 5.                Birds not sent will forfeit their entry fee.

 7.                Members of Specialist Societies are advised to study their Year Books for

                 rules.  Nominations MUST appear on the Entry Form including Membership numbers.  Names must be in the Catalogue to qualify for specials.

8.             Entry forms, once received and accepted by the Show Secretary, will on no account be altered.

 9.                Though every effort will be made to care for all exhibits sent to the show the

Y B S will not be responsible for any loss or damage to any birds, cages or

boxes etc. from any cause whatsoever for the duration of the Show, or to and from the Show.  Exhibitors may send their birds with every confidence that they will be cared for by experienced fanciers.

 

10.          No person shall be allowed to remove, from the staging, any exhibit during the Show except in the presence of a Show official.

 11.             Lifting time 5.00pm Sunday.

 12.          Only Society officials, judges and stewards will be allowed into the Show Hall immediately prior to and during judging.

 13.          The show officials reserve the right to adjudicate on any matter not covered by the Show rules.

 14.          In the case of a dispute, such disputes to be put in writing and forwarded to the Show Secretary with a deposit of £5.00.  The Show Committee will

adjudicate on the matter and if the complaint is not considered to be frivolous, the deposit will be returned.  The Committee’s decision will be

final and binding.

 15.          The Budgerigar Society rules state that no bird must be shown where the Breeder, or the person from whom it was purchased, is judging.

 16.          All birds to be received at the Show Hall fifteen minutes prior to the commencement of judging.

 17.          Exhibits lifted by official entry form only.
